In fact, he even started it himself!</p><p>Everyone knows that joke about those group member (or members) getting an A on a project despite absolutely doing nothing. Well, before anyone can hit Teague with that criticism, he just <a href="https://streamable.com/f4oyfy" rel="noopener">acknowledged</a> it himself.</p><figure class="op-interactive"></figure><p>To be fair to Jeff Teague though, he did contribute a tiny, little bit in their NBA Finals run against the Phoenix Suns. In the six games where he played with a very limited role for the Bucks, he scored a total of nine points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.</p><p>While some would say that he put a very minimal effort, no one can deny that he played and scored. That counts for something, right?</p><p>Throughout the whole playoffs, he averaged just 2.0 points on 7.5 minutes per game for the Bucks. However, there were times he didn’t play at all, missing seven outings on DNP.</p><p>Then again, you just have to be happy for Teague. After being traded to the Orlando Magic in the deal that brought Evan Fournier to the Boston Celtics, the veteran guard was <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/bucks-news-jeff-teague-to-sign-milwaukee/" rel="noopener">immediately waived</a>. Fortunately, he found a new home in Milwaukee with the Bucks just days later, reuniting with his old Atlanta Hawks coach in Mike Budenholzer.</p><p>Now, he can call himself a champion–regardless of what the trolls might say.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

Teague also had a hard time carving out a solid role due to the Celtics’ crowded backcourt rotation and was only limited to see 18.1 minutes of action per game.</p><p>With the Celtics looking to make significant improvements to their roster, they eventually dealt Teague along with two future draft picks to the Orlando Magic in exchange for a solid scorer in Evan Fournier. However, he wouldn’t last long in Florida as he was eventually waived by the team two days later.</p><p>Left in the open market as a free agent, the Bucks took a chance on Teague in a bid to bolster their backcourt unit that includes Jrue Holiday, Donte DiVincenzo, and Pat Connaughton, among others. In fact, Teague already made his debut with the team against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night where he tallied two points, two assists, and a rebound through 13 minutes played en route to a 127-109 victory.</p><p>Jeff Teague will definitely have to perform at his best if he wants to crack the team’s rotation and emerge as a solid contributor for a Bucks squad that aspires to make a long playoff run in the future. Before he could play any games with the Magic, Teague was waived as Orlando is going in a more youthful direction after hitting the reset button at the trade deadline.</p><p>By joining the Bucks, Teague gets an opportunity to reunite with Mike Budenholzer, who was the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks earlier in Teague’s career. At the same time, Teague fills a role that has been missed on Milwaukee’s roster ever since George Hill was traded.</p><p>Prior to being traded himself, Jeff Teague was only contributing 6.9 points and 1.7 assists per game for the Celtics. Orlando would rather see what they have in Michael Carter-Williams, Chasson Randle, and Karim Mane instead of playing a player like Teague, who doesn’t fit their long-term plans.</p><p>Due to injuries and other issues, Teague should be able to drum up some interest upon his release from Orlando. Being able to add a veteran point guard with playoff experience is invaluable at this point in the season.
