San Antonio Spurs All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge has now scored over 18,000 points in his NBA career, as the big man reached the impressive milestone on Saturday at home against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Aldridge entered Saturday with 17,988 career points. He's No. 72 on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

LaMarcus Aldridge has been a consistent, lethal scorer ever since he entered the NBA back in 2006 with the Portland Trail Blazers. His mid-range jump shot is nearly impossible to defend because he shoots the ball so high. The now seven-time All-Star has averaged at least 20 points per game in six seasons, including this campaign, where he's putting up 21.1 points entering Saturday.

Aldridge's turnaround in San Antonio has been really fun to watch. He reportedly wanted to be traded a few years ago, but after meeting with head coach Gregg Popovich, his stance changed and now he's the featured option in San Antonio now that Kawhi Leonard is gone.

LaMarcus Aldridge has career averages of 19.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 49.0 percent from the field and 80.9 percent from the foul line. He's quietly putting up a Hall-of-Fame résumé. He's not the most outspoken or flashy star, but he gets the job done every night.
