With the annual release of NBA 2K, players and fans alike clamor to find out the overall ratings of their favorite athletes. This year was no different with the highly-anticipated NBA 2k18 finally in stores.

However, one player who is not concerned about his rating is San Antonio Spurs wingman Danny Green, according to Michael Rehome of the Spurs Zone:

“I’m not a big gamer, I do play but I’m not a guy who worries about the rating. As long as they put me in the game — I know that they put me in better than I am in real life. So if they can put me in the game where I can shoot it pretty well, and play defense then I am happy. It’s always fun and interesting to watch.”

Green's comments may come as a bit of a surprise considering how ecstatic the common player is to finally play as themselves in a video game. In particular Spurs fashion, Green downplayed his excitement.

As the best three-point shooter on one of the league's most efficient offenses, Green is quite a commodity in the game. His prototypical 3-and-D skill set makes him one of the easier players to be productive with. However, it seems he is focused on getting more clean looks in the 2017-18 NBA season.
