It was Dejounte Murray and the San Antonio Spurs who came up on top after an end-to-end battle against the red-hot Washington Wizards. Gregg Popovich's men needed five extra minutes to take care of business on the road with a huge 146-143 win in DC to help them keep their playoff hopes alive.

The 24-year-old guard had an incredible night for San Antonio, dropping 25 points and a career-high of 17 boards. As one of the Spurs' primary backcourt defenders, Murray had no choice but to tip his hat to the Wizards who left it all on the floor as both Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook gave it their all on Monday's 53-minute thriller.

After the game, it was all love and respect from Murray. He mentioned that Beal is arguably the best scorer in the game and that he respects the hell out of Westbrook (via Jeff Garcia of New4sanAntonio).

Beal dropped 45 points on the Spurs while Westbrook notched his 29th triple-double of the season with a 22-13-14 line. The former MVP still leads the league in triple-doubles this season and is just six away from tying Oscar Robertson's triple-double record of 181.

Beal, on the other hand, is neck-and-neck with Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors in terms of the scoring title race.

Woefully, all these impressive stats from the Wizards came at a loss. A win on Monday would've given them the longest streak in franchise history, but the Spurs had other plans. DeMar DeRozan was equally as impressive and erupted for a team-high 37 points, nine of which came in the fourth quarter and OT.
