Monday was a great day for San Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray.

Murray not only got a four-year, $64 million contract extension from the Spurs, but the guard also signed a multi-million dollar shoe endorsement deal with New Balance, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

Charania also reports Murray's extension with the Spurs can reach $70 million with incentives.

Murray missed the entire 2018-19 season after tearing his right ACL in the preseason. The Spurs can’t wait to see Murray and Derrick White wreck havoc together this season. Both players are stout wing defenders.

Murray joins former Spurs star and current Los Angeles Clippers swingman Kawhi Leonard as notable NBA players who are with New Balance.

Murray averaged 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists during the 2017-18 season for the Spurs while shooting 44.3 percent from the field, 26.5 percent from beyond the arc and 70.9 percent from the free-throw line.

San Antonio, with Murray back in the fold, has a nice Big 5 of Murray, White, DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay and LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Spurs lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first-round of the 2019 playoffs in seven games. They will be a more explosive offensive unit this season with Murray back in action running the offense.
