San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan put together an impressive offensive sequence against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, which included zooming by LeBron James.

DeMar DeRozan found himself guarded by LeBron James on the perimeter, and the Spurs' nine-year veteran decided to blow by the Lakers star before completing a flashy finish for the bucket.

It wasn't an easy effort by any means, but give DeRozan credit for finishing strong at the rim despite the resistance from Lakers center JaVale McGee.

DeRozan came into the matchup with the Lakers averaging 24.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game in his first season with the Spurs.

He had his best scoring performance of the season this past Sunday when he went for 36 points on 13-of-27 shooting in the Spur' 131-118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

But even with DeRozan playing well this year, it hasn't been the type of season we've come to expect from the San Antonio franchise. Of course, that's not all that surprising given the roster turnover, and it's clear that there are plenty of tweaks still being made with the new-look Spurs.

DeRozan and company currently sit at the bottom of the Southwest Division at 11-13 overall, but perhaps a long homestand over the next few weeks will help them find more confidence.

After tonight's game in Los Angeles, the Spurs will return to San Antonio for six straight, so maybe that'll help get back on the right track.
