San Antonio Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan appears to be the chosen one. This is with regard to being the prime candidate to publicly debut Nike's latest unreleased Kobe Bryant kicks.

This is not the first time DeRozan was among the first to test out an exclusive pair of Nike sneakers, as he has debuted other unreleased Kobe kicks in the past. The most recent one is rumored to be the latest edition of Nike's Kobe A.D. series, which DeRozan showed off during his recent appearance in the Drew League.

Our friends at Sole Collector are predicting that the pair will drop on Kobe Bryant day (August 24). They also had this to say about the pair's aesthetics and functionality:

“Somewhat ‘utility' in appearance, the new model is a mesh-constructed low-top featuring a looped speed lacing system and what is likely a Zoom Air cushioning setup. The unique colorway is made up of grey, navy, yellow and crimson, with a hint of bronze on the counters and multicolored heel logos.”

DeRozan has been somewhat of an icon in the sneakerhead community, as he has, on occasion, been known to lace up with the freshest pair of kicks. Nonetheless, regardless of what he has on his feet, the 6-foot-7 guard still comes out to ball every night. This is exactly what the Spurs are expecting from DeRozan as he debuts for their side in two months' time.
