Since entering the league seven years ago, San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard has drawn a lot of praise for his demeanor on and off the court, and how he excels on offense and defense. He is now widely considered as one of the best, if not the best, two-way players in the NBA today, and even a legitimate superstar to many.

However, that is not the case with former league veteran Penny Hardaway, as he questioned that claim and made it known recently that he doesn’t consider The Klaw as a superstar. He cited Leonard's not wanting to be the face of the NBA as the primary reason for his strong statement, but gave him credit for being a good player instead.

Leonard’s stoic ways have established himself as someone who lets his game do most of the talking. Even during interviews, he is soft-spoken, and refrains to give very elaborate answers thrown at him by reporters. That said, he is not being thought of as the next poster child of the NBA, but more of a silent-type player akin to Tim Duncan, who had a very similar disposition during his playing days.

It will be very difficult to contest Kawhi Leonard's impact to the game today, and not consider him as a superstar in the league, especially with how good he's been so far. One thing that’s certain though, is he’ll continue playing at his best and most silent ways. As long as he can help the Spurs win and contend for championships in the coming years, he will surely not mind others' perception.
