Right after the LA Clippers won over the San Antonio Spurs, Kawhi Leonard and Gregg Popovich headed to midcourt to embrace and exchange a few pleasantries.

Check out the clip below from Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints. The two didn't merely shake hands with one another and part ways. They actually looked at each other in the eye and chatted for a bit.

To recall, tensions between Leonard and the Spurs formed a few years ago which resulted in the former requesting a trade. Various reports reveal that both parties weren't seeing eye-to-eye with one another. As a result, the bond between Leonard and Popovich was rumored to be tarnished.

However, once the smoke cleared, it was revealed that Leonard and Popovich still have the same amount of respect for one another. Their midcourt meeting after the Clippers-Spurs duel on Thursday certainly proves this point.

Leonard led his team to victory, 103-97. He finished with 38 points and 12 rebounds. Montrezl Harrel chipped in 24 points while Lou Williams had 12 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, the Spurs got contributions from DeMar DeRozan, who finished with 29 points and seven rebounds. Derrick White chipped in with 20 points while Bryn Forbes contributed with nine points.

The Clippers will move on to the second game of their five-game home stand on Sunday against the Utah Jazz. The Spurs will head to the Chase Center to duel with the shorthanded Golden State Warriors on Friday.
