Former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy is defending Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts after Fox Sports Radio host Chris Broussard said the Blazers should fire Stotts.

Van Gundy, who has been a great follow on Twitter since joining the social media platform, ripped Broussard for his take.

Stan Van Gundy is clearly going to defend Terry Stotts since they are part of the same fraternity. The Blazers clinched the eighth seed in the Western Conference despite not having Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins for most of the season. That's a testament to how hard the Blazers players played for Stotts.

Portland is down 3-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2020 playoffs. The Blazers will likely lose to the Lakers on Saturday since superstar point guard Damian Lillard is out for the rest of the postseason due to a knee injury.

Stotts has been with the Blazers since 2012. He's guided the franchise to seven consecutive postseason appearances and a trip to the Western Conference Finals last season. Unfortunately, Portland got swept by the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 Western Conference Finals.

With the Blazers, Stotts is 360-288 in the regular season and 20-35 in the playoffs. He's one of the most underrated coaches in the NBA and the Portland players love playing for him.
