Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has already achieved several notable accomplishments this season, and he could be on the verge of reaching another feat.

Overall, Roethlisberger currently sits at 415 passing touchdowns recorded in his career, which ranks at eighth in NFL history. He entered the campaign with 396 touchdown passes, and he joined the 400 passing touchdowns club in the Steelers' Week 4 road loss to the Green Bay Packers.

As it stands, Roethlisberger needs only six more passing touchdowns to both surpass longtime Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino on the all-time touchdown passes list and to move into a tie with former Los Angeles Chargers passer Philip Rivers for sixth on this historic leaderboard.

Over the past months, there has been rampant speculation that Roethlisberger is currently playing in his final season in Pittsburgh. Thus, the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback could go on to reach this feat in his potential last game with the Steelers at Heinz Field, which would come in next week’s Monday Night Football encounter with the Cleveland Browns.

Roethlisberger has already filled his Pro Football Hall of Fame resume with a multitude of impressive achievements over the course of his career. If he can pass both Marino and Rivers on the all-time passing touchdowns list, it sure would bolster his chances of being a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

For now, Roethlisberger will look to keep the Steelers in the mix for a spot in the AFC playoff picture with a possible win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16.
