Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster's routinely dancing on opposing teams' midfield logos may have lit a fire under the bellies of their opponents in recent weeks. Now that they find themselves on a three-game losing skid, head coach Mike Tomlin expressed his desire to have a word with his player in a bid to tone down his pre-game antics.

Via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk:

“During a Tuesday video conference, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about Smith-Schuster’s dancing. Tomlin said that he doesn’t think the wideout’s moves are “legitimate” motivation for what’s gone down on the field the last two weeks, but that he will “have a conversation” with Smith-Schuster.”

The former USC Trojan is a well-known influencer on TikTok with over 2.7 million followers and 95 videos posted thus far. He regularly posts his dances on midfield logos and inside the Steelers locker room before and after their games.

However, a couple of their opponents didn't like the gesture. Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer claimed that seeing Smith-Schuster dance on the Bills logo gave them the “extra fire” and motivation to dispatch the Steelers in the game en route to a 26-15 win.

In Week 15, another defender in Cincinnati Bengals safety Vonn Bell called the pre-game dancing as “disrespectful” and clobbered the receiver on a play late in the game to lift his squad to a 27-17 victory against the Steelers.

With an 11-3 record, the Steelers are in jeopardy of losing the AFC North title to the Cleveland Browns squad that is closely trailing behind by a game. Hopefully, Mike Tomlin will be able to speak some sense into JuJu Smith-Schuster and remind him of the more important things that they have to deal with as the team heads to the 2020 NFL Playoffs in a couple of weeks.
