The Pittsburgh Steelers training camp is going to be filled with former XFL players. The Steelers announced the signing of three players who spent time in the XFL.

Center John Keenoy was with the Dallas Renegades and is going to have a shot to make the NFL roster. Last season he was in camp with the Minnesota Vikings but couldn't make the roster.

Arrion Springs was a standout defensive back in the XFL. He started with the Tampa Bay Vipers but was later traded to the Los Angeles Wildcats.

Springs has bounced around the NFL spending time on practice squads of Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers.

Anthony Cole was a starting tackle for the New York Guardians. Since being an undrafted free agent out of Fordham, Cole has spent time with the Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, and Green Bay Packers.

The Steelers also signed defensive back Breon Borders who didn't play in the XFL. Borders played 11 games last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars and one game for the Washington Redskins.

It appears these guys are being signed into slots that are usually given to undrafted free agents, but with the way the last few months have worked out, maybe there won't be as many undrafted free agents signed.

The XFL might be no longer, but the legacy of the league can live on if some of these players signed by the Steelers and across the league can make a roster and be regular contributors.
