Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le'Veon Bell has decided to sit out the entire 2018 season after he chose to not report by the deadline for tagged players on Tuesday afternoon, which has put him out of the mix for the rest of the year.

With that in mind, on Wednesday his teammates decided to playfully raid his locker for stuff such as his cleats along with other belongs like his own personal CD that he produced, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

There doesn't appear to be any ill will coming from his teammates; rather, it's more of a playful jab at their longtime teammate. Bell isn't going to be in the locker room anytime soon and his stuff will not be used at all until at least after the season. If there is an issue with the cleats for example, his teammates will likely be more than willing to give him back his stuff. In the meantime, it's just a way of his teammates having some fun with an otherwise tense situation.

The Steelers can now move forward without the shadow of Bell possibly returning this season. His situation can be pushed back to the offseason, where the team will have to decide if they want to bring him back. At this point, it is clear they have moved forward with James Conner leading the charge out of the backfield this season and beyond. Conner has proven to be a viable option that can provide another versatile asset in both the running and passing game for their explosive offense.

Pittsburgh has a chance to compete for a Super Bowl this season without Bell this time around, which could be another indicator of how the franchise can perform without him in the fold.
