Antonio Brown is one of the NFL's premier talents at the wide receiver position. He's still a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they're attempting to trade him away for assets.
When asked recently about where he would like to be traded, Brown told reporters that his priority is winning (h/t Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot).
“I just want to win, you know? I just want to win. Play with a team. I just want to win. It doesn’t matter where.”
During the 2018 season with the Steelers, Brown ended up catching 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns. Brown has had six straight seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards and 100 receptions. He's one of the best talents in the entire NFL, even as he turns over into his 30s.
Article Continues BelowTrading in the NFL doesn't happen much because GMs don't get the value back for the actual worth of their assets. The Steelers likely want multiple draft picks and a replacement at the wide receiver spot. This has especially worsened because teams are concerned about his locker room personality.
Brown has not played in the final game of the season because he never showed up to practice late in Week 17. Mike Tomlin ended up benching the all-pro receiver, to the disdain of many of the fans. It was just the icing on the cake of a miserable season for the Steelers.
The Steelers ended the season at 9-6-1 and finished 2nd in their AFC North Division. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens ended up collecting 10 games to clinch the division and a playoff spot.
