With Antonio Brown no longer on the team, the Pittsburgh Steelers need other guys to step up and one of those guys they brought in is Donte Moncrief.

Moncrief is playing for his fourth different offensive coordinator in six seasons and for some players that might be tough. Wide receivers coach Daryl Drake has liked the adjustment he has seen from Moncrief and thinks that he is on the right path.

“There’s times where you get a guy, you bring him in and he’s been in two or three different systems, those systems start running together,” Drake said via PennLive.com. “But he’s been able to distinguish the differences and go out there and do things that makes my job a lot easier because he has a feel for the position.”

Last season Moncrief caught 48 passes for 668 yards and three touchdowns, and Drake sees the confidence he gained last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars carrying into this season.

“One thing that he’s doing right now, he’s playing with a lot of confidence,” Drake said. “And Ben has confidence in him. So we just got to continue for him to grow and continue for him to do the things that we ask him to do.”

Moncrief is signed to a two-year contract that is backloaded so the team needs him to perform well for the next couple of seasons. There isn't a ton of pressure for Moncrief to be the savior for this team, but they just need him to be a solid weapon for Big Ben.
