Why would Steph Curry do such a thing? He must not want anyone else to take long range shots attempts but himself. During the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, singer Justin Timberlake decided to take a long range jump shot. Even though it looked somewhat off, Golden State Warriors point guard and 2016 NBA MVP Stephen Curry decided to block it anyway and give him a Dikembe Mutumbo finger wag in the process. The finger wag was made famous by Dikembe Mutumbo blocking his opponents and wagging his finger at them afterwards as if to say “No, not on my watch”.
It was all in good fun though, as Curry and the fans started laughing afterwards. Even though they lost to former Oakland Athletics pitcher Mark Mulder, Timberlake and Curry appear to be having a lot of fun. They were also seen doing the “Carlton” dance with Alfonso Ribeiro.
It seems that Steph Curry is just having himself a good time playing golf amongst the other celebrities. Despite what they may do for a living, they are still human and they like to have fun. It is good to see a different side of athletes that we don't get to see on the basketball court. Mostly all we see from Curry is his competitive, on court persona, so seeing him like this is definitely a good change of pace.
