It’s a question that’s been on everyone’s mind since the last season ended. When is the Stranger Things Season 4 release date? Friends, using information gathered on the mean streets of the Internet, we got you covered… kind of.
Stranger Things Season 4 Release Date: 2021 (probably)
Here’s the issue, as it is with most shows working through it, there’s been this global pandemic happening, limiting programs from being in production.
The cast of the show is on record stating that it was originally supposed to air relatively soon, but now they’re mostly unsure. That being said, if people remember correctly, the last season was teased and teased, then mostly aired out of nowhere as a bit of a surprise. It is possible current cast and crew are playing with us a bit, knowing of a release date. Obviously, it’s also possible they don’t know due to circumstances outside of anyone’s control.
The official Stranger Things Twitter account has, however, here and there tweeted some hints. Many fans are using tweets like the one below as hints. Little snippets they can use to decipher the real Stranger Things Season 4 release date.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Shows like The Expanse, which finished production before the world figuratively burnt to the ground, held off their latest season (which is no season five, airing in December) instead of taking advantage of the lack of new programming on television.
In fact, it’s an argument I’ve had with friends. If a show was already done filming, especially if you’re a streaming service like Netflix, HULU or Amazon, hurling out the latest season of a hot show would presumably be good for business, especially since competition is at an all-time low. If streaming services buy into that notion, and aren’t releasing seasons/programs immediately, it does hint at the shows not yet being ready to air in any shape or form.
Nonetheless, we’ll have to wait a bit for a more definitive day to be positive of the Stranger Things Season 4 release date.
