While Chris Paul remains out for the Phoenix Suns due to the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, it doesn't mean he's not involved with the team–including in their celebrations.

After the Suns took Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul apparently FaceTimed Jae Crowder in excitement before expressing his desire to return, per Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

It's undoubtedly unfortunate that Chris Paul is sidelined because of COVID-19. Aside from Devin Booker, it was supposed to be his moment as he tries to lead his team to the NBA Finals and compete for his first NBA title.

His desire to be with the team is definitely clear as well. Even before Game 1, Crowder revealed that CP3 has been blowing his phone up with messages since he wants to be as involved as possible with the Suns as they prepare for what is expected to be another tough series.

Hopefully, Paul will be able to return sooner rather than later. He is still out indefinitely as he stays in quarantine, but head coach Monty Williams said he is day-to-day as the team assesses and monitors his situation. While quarantine for COVID-19 is at least two weeks, it could be shorter for vaccinated individuals–and Paul is said to be vaccinated.

Booker, Crowder and the Suns surely wants Paul to be with the team next game, and fans are truly hoping to see him celebrate another win with the rest of the roster.
