After the Phoenix Suns lost Game 3 in deflating fashion to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, Chris Paul went into full troll mode in a hilarious manner during his press conference.
CP3 has been dealing with a shoulder injury since he suffered the “stinger” in Game 1, and it's clearly limited his play in the last two games of this series. While Paul continues to be asked about his shoulder and his status moving forward in this series for the Suns, CP3 took a different route in his presser.
It's no secret that the Suns' guard has had multiple “run ins” with NBA official Scott Foster in the past. To say CP3 doesn't see eye-to-eye with Foster would be an understatement. Foster was one of the officials for Game 3 on Thursday, and Paul was certainly aware. CP3 was also aware that this was the ELEVENTH straight game he has lost in the playoffs when Scott Foster has been an official.
Via BrightSideOfTheSun.com, CP3's transcript postgame is tremendous.
When the Suns all-star was asked about how he can still impact this team while dealing with the injury, this was his response.
“Just try to be vocal. Try to match it with the energy…We got to try to limit their free-throw attempts. They’re shooting a lot of free throws, last game, tonight. If I was a betting man, 11 games in a row (the number of playoff games he has lost consecutively with Foster officiating a game he has played in). Eleven games in a row.” Chris Paul.
Full demon mode from CP3 and it is beautiful.
When asked about resting his shoulder before Game 4, Paul said the following:
“It is what it is, keep trying to get ready. Like I said, prepare always, always. And we’ll see what happens. Eleven in a row.” – Chris Paul
And last but certainly not least, the Suns all-star was asked about what Phoenix needs to focus in on for Game 4.
“Look at our defensive coverages, see how we can limit the layups and the dunks. Seemed like they made shots sort of later in the game, we got a lot of great looks earlier. And just keep fighting. Keep fighting. Eleven in a row is tough.” – Chris Paul.
Keep doing you CP3, it's incredible!
