VIDEO: Deandre Ayton trashes Brook Lopez in vicious clean-up facial slam in Game 1

NBA Finals, Deandre Ayton, Brook Lopez, Suns, Bucks

Deandre Ayton continues to grow up right before our eyes.

In his first stint in the NBA Playoffs, Ayton has done a marvelous job for the Phoenix Suns, showing the grit of a seasoned veteran.

In Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, Ayton showed why young punks like him are going to take over the NBA real soon. In yet another display of his tenacity, the 22-year-old big man posterized Bucks veteran center Brook Lopez with a vicious two-handed jam (via SLAM).

Ayton has proven that he’s one of the best offensive rebounders in the NBA. He just never stops pursuing the ball. After Mikal Bridges muffed the reverse layup, Ayton immediately went to the rim to grab the board. He got rewarded with an easy bucket, while victimizing Lopez in the process.

All the talk about the 2018 NBA Draft has revolved around Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks. Many tend to forget that Ayton was the first overall pick of that class, and he’s shown why. He’s improved his numbers every season with his work ethic and positive attitude.

With his hustle plays, Deandre Ayton could win his first NBA championship in just his third season.
