On Thursday, Phoenix Suns young superstar guard is now the fifth youngest player in NBA history with 5,000 points scored. Only LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwight Howard scored 5,000 at a younger age.

He was also the sixth player in NBA history to score 1,000 points as a teenager. He joins the likes of Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Bryant and James on that list.

Booker has been excellent for the Suns this season. In his fourth year in the league, he finally evolved into a playmaker. His pick and roll game with DeAndre Ayton is one of the best in the NBA. Even though the Suns have struggled to win games consistently, Booker has shown that he has a bright future.

Booker on this season has averaged 24.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game while shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Though Booker's three-point percentage has plummeted, he doesn't really have anyone to dish him out the ball. He's taking a lot of contested shots and ones late in the shot clock. As he is paired with another playmaking guard, Booker will become a better off-ball scorer as he gets open looks.

The Suns are still in rebuild mode. Though they have Ayton and Booker, otherwise the team is fairly dry in talent.

On the season, the Suns are 11-38 sitting 15th overall in the NBA's Western Conference. They will face off next against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.
