The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Or in this case, far from the basketball rim. Former NBA player Melvin Booker, the father of Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker, showed he still has the moves.
In a short clip posted by The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears on Twitter, the older Booker was playing in a pick-up game with friends. He posted up his defender on the right flank, spun to the baseline, and then made the nifty reverse lay-up. Everything looked effortless for the 48-year-old Booker.

Clearly, the younger Booker was heavily influenced by his dad, who played two seasons in the NBA from 1995 to 1997. He suited up for the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, and Golden State Warriors, averaging 5.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
While his NBA career didn't exactly pan out, he's living his dream through his son, who's led the Suns to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. The two-time All-Star has repeatedly praised his dad for shaping him to be the player he is today. Now, he has the golden chance to bring the NBA title to the Booker household.
Devin Booker surely got his natural skills and athleticism from his dad. But hey, maybe he should work on his post moves to keep up with his old man.
