After six long years, Devin Booker is finally headed to the playoffs. If you ask the Phoenix Suns superstar, however, a postseason berth is just the beginning.

Heading into the Suns' first-round matchup against the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers, Booker came out with a strong commitment for the fans in Phoenix about what the team has set out to achieve in the postseason.

“It's been a long journey since I've been here,” Booker said, via Duane Rankin of AZ Central. “A full six years to get to this point and I know it's been even longer for the city of Phoenix and this organization to get to this point. So I don't want to take these opportunities for granted. We gave the fans what they wanted with a playoff berth and now, we want to give them even more of what they asked for.”

Book is delighted with the prospect of making his long-awaited playoffs debut, but for him, this is just a first step. He's not here just to enjoy the ride. Devin Booker wants to bring ultimate success to Phoenix.

Behind Booker's heroics in the regular season, the Suns secured the second seed in the West. This was without a doubt their best regular-season performance as a unit in recent years, and they are now hoping to take it to the next level in the postseason. They will be facing an extremely tough test in the opening round as they try to upset LeBron James and his Lakers, but with their confidence sky-high, no one should count out Booker and the Suns at this point.
