According to a Tuesday afternoon report from Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Phoenix Suns and new head coach Monty Williams are continuing to add to the team's new-look coaching staff. Stein is now reporting that Oklahoma Thunder assistant coach Darko Rajakovic is expected to join Williams' coaching staff in Phoenix.

“The Suns are closing in on the hiring of OKC assistant Darko Rajakovic to join new coach Monty Williams' staff, league sources say,” reads a recent tweet from Stein. “Williams has also pursued Golden State's Willie Green [currently working The Finals] to join previous hires Mark Bryant, Randy Ayers and Steve Blake.”

While the Suns are seemingly adding to the team's coaching staff, the Thunder will now be forced to fill more than one void along the bench ahead of the upcoming 2019-20 campaign.

“The Thunder will thus have at least three openings on Billy Donovan's staff after two departures to Phoenix (Mark Bryant and Darko Rajakovic) and Bob Beyer's move to Sacramento,” Stein added on Tuesday afternoon.

The Suns have not been able to find any success whatsoever over the course of the last several seasons. Despite the presence of an elite player in veteran point guard Devin Booker, the Suns continue to struggle in a big way. After encountering the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Suns now own the No. 6 overall pick in the upcoming 2019 NBA Draft.

On the other hand, the Thunder just can't seem to get over the hump in the absence of current Golden State Warriors superstar forward Kevin Durant.
