Taylor Swift is putting her Swifties first. During the pop star's concert last night (May 24) in Lisbon, Portugal, Swift called for security to help a fan in the audience.

“Ajuda por favor. Help them please,” is heard saying in a fan video in the direction of the fan. As of this writing, there is no information surrounding the cause of the fan's distress.

This follows a fatal incident during the first leg of the Eras Tour in Brazil. According to a forensics report by the Associated Press, 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides died from heat exhaustion. Benevides passed out during “Cruel Summer,” the second song Swift had played during the Nov. 17 concert.

Weiny Machado, Benevides' father,  spoke to the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo about the tragedy. “I want to know if it's true that they are prohibited from bringing water and neglected to provide assistance,” he told the outlet. “I lost my only daughter, a happy and intelligent girl.”

“She was about to graduate in psychology next April, saving money,” Weiny continued. “I have no words to express my pain. She left home to fulfill a dream and came back dead.”

Time For Fun posted to X (formerly known as Twitter). According to the report, it was 40 degrees Celsius (105 Fahrenheit) and fans were not allowed to bring water into the venue.

However, T4F, an organizer for the concert, said that they “distributed thousands of bottles of water,” and one of Benevides' told a local media outlet that they were given water bottles while waiting in line.

Taylor Swift Speaks Out After Fan's Death In Brazil

Swift took to Instagram to inform fans and to give her condolences to her fan's family after learning of the death of Benevides.

“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it’s with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Swift began her handwritten note on her Instagram Story at the time.

“I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this,” she continued. “There’s very little information I have other than the fact she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.”

However, in her recent concert in Sweden, Swift and her fans began to signal for help using the flashlights on their phones in the crowd which is a similar tactic used at live concerts and events to alert the artist a fan is in need of assistance,

“When you guys are holding a bunch of flashlights up in a group does that mean people need help? Say yes if it means [that],” Swift asked the crowd which they responded. “OK, if I see that again I’m gonna try to put it out.”
