In social media, posts or tweets may be deleted, but no memory is erased.
That’s what Terrance Ferguson had to learn the hard way when his old pro-Golden State Warriors tweets were unearthed after being drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It’s no secret that there is a vast love loss between these two teams, mainly due to Kevin Durant’s summer decision from last year. And passionate Thunder fans are not taking too well the past social media activity from their newest addition who also hails from the State of Oklahoma.
Obviously, things have taken quite a turn in Ferguson’s NBA welcome, but the 21st overall pick of this year’s draft is savvy enough to know how to filter the backlash.
Certainly not the best of ways to get some affection from your own team’s fans.
