Moody Center was, well, not in a good mood. The Texas basketball program lost their fifth game of the season. Ithiel Horton did his best to find holes in the UCF defense but it was to no avail. Jaylin Sellers and Shemarri Allen decided that they were going shoot the lights out in this game which led to an insane second half. The game ended with a 71 to 77 scoreline but that was not what annoyed Longhorns head coach Rodney Terry.

In the handshake line, Rodney Terry noticed something about the UCF players. He quickly pointed it out and scorched earth on them right at that moment, “That's classless. Don't do that s***.”. This got fans raising their eyebrows. So, the Texas basketball coach had to clarify what happened in his post-game presser, via Tyler Feldman of KVUE News.

“About 6 or 7 guys putting the horns down. We don't do that because when you do those kinds of things, it looks very classless. It also looks like you were hoping to win. We never go into games trying to hope to win. We go into games expecting to win,” Terry said.

The Texas basketball coach also stressed that their attitude did not involve jumping up and down like they won a national championship. He was also mad because it happened in the Moody Center.

Everything looked well for the Texas basketball squad when they started the game. Coach Terry's players were blazing and they ended the first half with a 44 to 32 lead over UCF. Then, halftime was over and they looked like a completely different squad. In the end, Jaylin Sellers torched the Texas basketball defense with 24 points and an assist. Shemarri Allen joined in on the scoring barrage by notching 17 points and dropping seven dimes in an impressive offensive performance.

The Longhorns still had some serviceable performances which is a silver lining. Ithiel Horton led them in scoring with 20 points while Max Abmas and Dillon Mitchell followed suit with 15 points each. They could still bounce back in a big way in the next game. It could even be a statement victory as they go against a highly-ranked Baylor team.
