The International 2022 venue has been revealed. The International 11 is headed to Singapore, with it becoming the first-ever SEA TI venue.
Valve has been hinting at the TI11 venue for the past few days during the Stockholm Major. But now, it's confirmed that The International 2022 venue will be in the Suntec Arena, Singapore.
The announcement was made through the account of Dota 2 influencer Wykrhm Reddy, and through a hype video that played during the Grand Finals between OG and Team SoloMid (formerly Team Undying).
This will be the first time The International will be held in the Southeast Asian region. The last Dota 2 major event in Singapore before The International 11 was the Singapore Major 2021, and before that the last Dota 2 event with a crowd in Singapore was the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Invitational Singapore.
While this year's The International is expected to play in front of a crowd, last year's TI was held without one in Bucharest, Romania. Prior to that, The International skipped a year due to the pandemic. With COVID-19 restrictions lightening up all over the world, fans are hoping that crowd events will continue even after the current Stockholm Major. However, given Singapore's strict COVID-19 protocols, this is still up in the air, which is probably why exact dates and ticketing have yet been announced. We don't expect Valve to keep these information secret for much long, however, so keep an eye out for announcements to make sure you get to book your tickets before tickets run out.
