The MLB Draft tends to fly under the radar. Sure, players such as Bryce Harper have helped garner interest in the past. But it typically does not receive nearly as much attention as the NFL or NBA Draft. However, Tennessee flame-throwing right-handed pitcher Ben Joyce could be the savior of the 2022 MLB Draft.

Ben Joyce fired a 105.5 MPH fastball earlier this season that shocked both the college baseball and MLB world.

Joyce originally tapped out at 104 MPH which is already elite. But the 105 MPH fastball will make hitters consider a new career path. As seen in the video, the Auburn hitter takes a moment and walks around to collect himself after seeing the heater.

It's not uncommon to see 100 MPH fastball's in today's game of baseball. But anything over 101 is incredible. But hitting 104 and 105 is a whole different level of insanity.

So what does this mean for the upcoming 2022 MLB Draft?

Joyce isn't even projected to be a top-tier draft pick. His secondary pitches are a work-in-progress and he is still developing control of his elite fastball. However, teams will be enticed by his blazing velocity.

But for the draft, people from all over will be interested to see where the Tennessee flame-thrower ends up. The thought of a 10.5.5 MPH fastball will catch everyone's attention, even those who have no interest in the sport.

MLB needs to market Ben Joyce. He is the secret weapon in this draft. Joyce possesses a never-before-seen fastball and MLB would smart to utilize that to benefit the 2022 MLB Draft.
