The future of the Oklahoma City Thunder is still up in the air. They could potentially make a run for the final playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference. However, Chris Paul could easily be traded during the season, which would likely hurt the Thunder's playoff chances.

Free agent Nick Young was recently pondering about a CP3 trade on Twitter, suggesting the Milwaukee Bucks should make a play for the future Hall of Famer. Thunder youngster Darius Bazley was having none of it:

It would make sense for the Bucks to explore the move. They want to win now and would be willing to trade unprotected draft picks if it means adding a fantastic facilitator who could boost the team's playoff chances. Paul would find Giannis in tight spots and make him an even more dangerous finisher. Of course, there's that whole issue about matching salaries for Paul's massive contract, which would make this difficult.

Also, the Thunder seemingly want to keep Paul around for now. He can impart a lot of knowledge to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and groom him into a superb point guard. The Thunder also have pieces that can help him win basketball games. It may seem like he's back on the New Orleans Hornets, but there's some promising talent gathered on the team. Moreover, he started his professional career in OKC.

It's still likely that OKC will trade Paul to a contender before the trade deadline passes, but Thunder fans hope he doesn't pack his bags too soon unless the trade return is too good to pass up.
