Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti is well-known around the NBA for his ability to rack up the draft picks and build this franchise for the future. Aside from that, Presti has also drafted numerous talented players over the years who have turned into legitimate superstars including Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

On Saturday at All-Star Weekend, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was asked a question about Thunder rookie Josh Giddey. The King turned it into an opportunity to praise Presti for his phenomenal front office work over the years.

Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin:

“The MVP over there is Sam Presti. He's the MVP,” James said of the 44-year-old front office executive who has held the post since 2007. “I mean, Josh Giddey is great. But Sam Presti, I don't understand this guy's eye for talent. He drafted [Kevin Durant], Russ [Westbrook], Jeff Green, Serge Ibaka, Reggie Jackson, Josh Giddey and the list goes on and on and on. This guy is pretty damn good.”

Presti clearly has an idea of what he's doing. While the Thunder are rather awful right now, they have a whopping 38 picks across the next seven years. In 2022, OKC possesses three first-round selections and a lone second-round pick.

The Thunder already have some intriguing talent at the helm with a budding superstar in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lu Dort, and Giddey, who is already making his presence felt in every way possible in Year One.

LeBron realizes Presti's plan. It's all for the greater good. In four to five years, the Thunder could be scary.
