Tiger Woods is unveiling his first public golf course on Tuesday in Missouri.

Woods—as well as fellow PGA stars Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose—are partaking in an exhibition to celebrate the opening of Woods' course, Payne's Valley, in the Ozarks.

The course is named after former U.S. Open champion Payne Stewart, one of the heralded figures in the sport's history.

Tiger emphasized how excited he was to have the project completed, and stressed his hope that both casual and competitive golfers will be able to enjoy the design:

“I want to see a lot of birdies made here,” Tiger Woods said, via Tom Smith of the Kansas City Star. “I have always felt that golf is about bringing people together and this has served as my inspiration to design fun and playable courses.”

However, the 15-time major champion ensured he would be the one to get the first crack at the design, along with a few of his friends.

The spectacle has already provided a few humorous highlights, including Woods labeling NBA Hall of Famer and close friend Michael Jordan as a “pocket-ball dropper.”

Each player has been mic'd up for the occasion, leading to some terrific banter.

Thomas wondered whether McIlroy would risk taking a divot on one of the greens of the brand-new course when Rory elected to hit a wedge from the putting surface.

Rose and Thomas also joked about some kind of lodging situation, with Rose saying he had “pictures of Tiger” above his bed.

Tiger is undoubtedly excited for locals and golf fans alike to test out the grounds, though the four stars are intent on putting on a show, first.
