The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers Monday night on the road for their third-straight win, winning by a final score of 102-95. It wasn't a pretty win, as the Timberwolves built double-digit leads multiple times only to see the Cavs come back. Minnesota backup point guard Derrick Rose, who finished with 12 points and 4 assists, said the Timberwolves “were tired as sh*t” against the Cavs and knew they would have to grind out a win, per Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

This was the Timberwolves' third game in four days. They beat the Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn on Friday, the Chicago Bulls at home on Saturday and now the Cavs on Monday. All the traveling can get to NBA players at times and it appears that's what happened to the Timberwolves on Monday.
Minnesota shot well for a tired team. The Timberwolves made 46.5 percent of their shots from the field and 30.8 percent from beyond the arc. Robert Covington led all scorers with 24 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns posted 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Derrick Rose, who is having a stellar season for the Timberwolves coming off the bench, scored 10 important points in the fourth quarter to help Minnesota escape Cleveland with a win. The Timberwolves are now 10-11 on the season and 6-2 since trading Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers.
