New Minnesota Timberwolves president Gersson Rosas has impressed many with his aggressive style, hitting the ground and running upon his hire, surrounding himself with like basketball minds and putting the pieces in place to tackle this upcoming season with a bolstered roster. Yet his main weapon remains Karl-Anthony Towns, a player he deems as one of the 10 best in the league.

“I'm a firm believer he's a top-10 player in the league and his best days are ahead of him,” said Rosas assertively during a recent interview in SiriusXM NBA Radio. “The way we're going to play, we're going to be one of the most dynamic teams because we have a center that can play inside and out, who's very creative, who can score, who can play-make, and it's very impactful. So for us, we're going to maximize every opportunity. We're going to draft well, develop well, trade well in free agency, look for opportunities where we can move forward.

Towns will be the centerpiece of anything the Wolves try to build from here on forward. While there are still doubts about fellow former No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins and his potential for development, Towns has proved to be the consistent building stone Rosas will need to craft this roster around, making him and his dynamic skill set the foundation this team needs to adhere to.

The 7-footer is already a potential top-3 center among Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic, though by far the better 3-point shooter of the three.

A player like Towns doesn't often stroll into a franchise, and Rosas is more than well-aware of it, looking to put the right pieces in place to yield the most out of the Wolves' $158 million investment.
