The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to terms with Noah Vonleh on a one-year deal, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Vonleh played for the New York Knicks this past season. He'll give the Timberwolves some depth in the frontcourt.

In 68 games with the Knicks in 2018-19, Vonleh averaged 8.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 47.0 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from beyond the arc and 71.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The 23-year-old Vonleh was the ninth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He began his career with the Charlotte Hornets and has since played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls and Knicks.

The Timberwolves lost Taj Gibson and Anthony Tolliver in free agency. They still have Gorgui Dieng and All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns, though, and added former Golden State Warriors big man Jordan Bell. The Timberwolves, however, are still trying to recover from missing out on D'Angelo Russell, who is headed to Golden State as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

Minnesota isn't ready to be a playoff team next season. Along with Tolliver and Gibson, the Timberwolves also lost Derrick Rose, who is headed to the Detroit Pistons. Rose averaged 18.0 points per game for Minnesota this past season.
