The Minnesota Timberwolves provided NBA fans with an epic troll job following the utterly strange Los Angeles Lakers “Vivian” catfish saga.

The woman apparently claiming to be Vivian Flores of the Laker Point podcast attempted to show video proof Tuesday suggesting she was not, in fact, a catfish. But said woman spelled her name with an “e,” rather than an “a.”

Minnesota's social media team responded in epic fashion. The Timberwolves posted a picture of Naz Reid holding up a sign reading “Raid” in a very clear allusion to the recent string of events.

Brilliant work.

As for the veracity–or lack thereof–of Flores' identity, everything is incredibly sketchy. Josh Toussaint, co-host of the Laker Point podcast, originally posted Flores was reported missing in the Los Angeles area. He then sent an update to Laker Nation suggesting Flores had been found safe and alive.

But things took a very odd turn. A Twitter user revealed during a Twitter Spaces conversation with Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant he had an apparent relationship with Flores, only to cut things off when he realized he was being catfished. Added suspicion was raised regarding the quality of editing on some photographs of “Vivian.”

Toussaint then had to explain reasons why he never appeared on camera with Flores and their dealings as it related to the podcast. Further details on the catfish saga can be found here.

Laker Nation has hardly allowed the drama to die, and the Timberwolves added some wood to the fire on Tuesday. The Timberwolves are in action on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings.
