Newly-acquired D'Angelo Russell didn't waste any time making his presence known to the Minnesota Timberwolves fans, as the point guard addressed the crowd with a (slightly) NSFW message before the team took the floor Saturday night to face the L.A. Clippers.

Minnesota was finally able to nab the former All-Star who has a well-known close friendship with center Karl-Anthony Towns—the top pick in the 2015 draft. The Timberwolves traded forward Andrew Wiggins and a protected 2021 pick to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Russell, Jacob Evans, and Omari Spellman.

At 23 years old, Russell is averaging a career-high 23.6 points per game this season, and the team hopes him and Towns will form an effective combination. Russell's status is day-to-day, as of this writing, as he nurses bruised quadriceps, but the team hopes he can make his Timberwolves debut on Monday night in Toronto and help Minnesota (15-35)—mired in a 13-game losing streak—get back on track.
