Tony Parker has played his last game for the French national team, but that doesn’t mean his NBA career is nearing an end as well.

He is now 34-years-old and the star point guard for the San Antonio Spurs looks to focus on making the most out of his remaining years in professional basketball.

In a recent article by Jeff Zillgitt for USA Today Sports, Parker shared how he plans on spending the rest of his playing days in the NBA.

“I want to end my Spurs career on a high note. I want to play five more years.”

If things go according to his plan, he will be 39-years-old by the time he hangs up those sneakers. But that’s not much of a concern for him. His former teammate in Tim Duncan has laid out the blueprint on how to prolong one’s career, at least in San Antonio.

It also helps that, over the next five years, Tony Parker will be playing alongside one of the best players in the league in Kawhi Leonard. As good as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is, he’s still going to need guidance, and Parker fits the bill.
