Tottenham fans erupt after humiliating defeat to NS Mura

Tottenham Hotspur has hit a new low on Thursday after succumbing to a humiliating 2-1 defeat to Slovenian outfit NS Mura in the UEFA Conference League group stages. The Premier League side went down to 10-men early in the first half after Ryan Sessegnon was handed a red card and eventually conceded in the dying seconds of injury time as the Antonio Conte era took an awful turn.

By no surprise, Tottenham supporters were absolutely furious over the result. Here are some of the most savage reactions:

Harry Kane didn’t equalize for Tottenham until the 72nd minute after Mura netted an opener within the first 11 minutes. To be frank, it was an atrocious performance from Conte’s men, showing very little promise in the final third nor at the back.

The Conference League is the third European competition behind Europa and the Champions League. With the loss, Tottenham is now at risk of not even progressing to the knockouts as they sit level on seven points with Vitesse heading into matchday 6. Even worse, Mura is the lowest-ranked team of the entire lot.

Conte is currently in seventh place in the Premier League and will be looking to bounce back this weekend against Burnley. Needless to say, a victory is absolutely needed after such a horrific showing against a club that is way below them on the totem pole.
