When the Premier League announced the full slate of games for the 2021-2022 season, many well expected Harry Kane to feature in the opening duel between Manchester City and Tottenham. However, many predicted that Kane would suit up for Manchester City instead, considering the hefty amount of rumors that were linking him to the reigning Premier League winners.
After much anticipation, Kane was a no-show in this match. The three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner missed the contest, as he just joined the team for training on Friday.
Still, Spurs fans had a field day during their team's home clash against Manchester City.
In what has seemingly now become an annual tradition in England's top flight, Spurs came away with an upset win over Manchester City as Son Heung-Min scored the lone goal of the match.
Spurs fans subsequently trolled their superstar striker by chanting “Are you watching Harry Kane?” following Son's goal.

Kane's actions over the past couple of weeks have left a bitter taste in the mouths of Spurs fans. He was fined by the team earlier this month after missing a key scheduled training session. Many presumed that he was looking to hold out in order to possibly force a move to Manchester City, although this has yet to be confirmed by the striker.
This transfer saga may not drag on for too long now, as the ongoing summer transfer window will close in mere weeks. Tottenham well aims to keep Kane for the upcoming season as the side looks to finish in the top-four of the final league standings.
