Tunic is an impressive example of the growing list of impressive games made by a single developer. Here is when the Tunic release date is.

Tunic Release Date: March 16, 2022

The adorable-looking Tunic is coming out on March 16, 2022, as a launch console-exclusive on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and PC. The game will also be released on other consoles eventually, but there's currently no release date slated yet for PlayStation.

Joining the growing list of impressive games made solely by a single person, this work of art comes after over five years of development by Andrew Shouldice. Originally titled Secret Legend, the game is heavily-inspired and structured after the template of The Legend of Zelda. In Tunic, players take control of the anthropomorphic fox Tunic. The player interacts with enemies and the environment to solve puzzles and explore dungeons. Taking cues from Zelda and Metroid, the game also features backtracking as players find more tools and gadgets that unlock new areas in previously-visited and beaten locations.

The game is played through an isometric view, with its scenic graphics and relaxing soundtrack. Tunic's presentation does not betray its tough-as-nails difficulty. The game design also works hand-in-hand with the presentation – its clear visuals help communicate to players various cues and game mechanics without uttering a single word. Neither text nor audio gives players any hints on how things work, but players will still be able to figure things out on their own.
