Twitch streamer Gross Gore received a permanent ban from the platform last Thursday. A “Roast Me” Reddit thread-turned-sour led to years' worth of sexual assault allegations being dug up. Twitch, seeing the gravity of Gore's alleged offenses over the years, decided to kick him out of the platform.

GROSS GORE TWITCH ACCOUNT BANNED FROM PLATFORM

Last Friday, March 12, the live streamer posted on the subreddit “RoastMe.” As the name suggests, the poster will describe his (often) positive standing in life. The posts in the subreddit challenge users to “roast” the poster, i.e., to humiliate through criticism or reprimand.

In Gross Gore's post on the subreddit, he writes: “I'm a happy Twitch streamer, roast me.” This attracted users who recognized him and subsequently dug up years' worth of sexual harassment allegations. The list is long, which includes instances of sexual harassment in public conventions and making sexual advances to minors.

On March 13th, a user named “Eve” posted a TwitLonger, alleging that Gross Gore groomed her. This happened way back in 2018 when she was 13 and Gross Gore was 16. She alleged that Gore gave her video opportunities. In return, Gross Gore made her moan while he masturbated. “I was young, sexually inexperienced, and had no idea what to say or how to moan for that matter,” writes Eve. “But Ali coached me, and wrote out things for me to say.”

Gross Gore released a Youtube video explaining his side of the story. “There are some disgusting things from my past,” says Gore. “I can promise you that's not who I am today.” The Reddit post and the user account were both deleted eventually.

Twitch then banned Gross Gore on the platform as the controversy reached its peak last Thursday. “The safety of our community is our top priority,” says Twitch as reported by Kotaku. “We take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, including in certain instances where the behavior may have taken place off Twitch.”

In response to his ban, the live streamer posted a video on Twitter. In the video, he shared the email that Twitch sent him informing him of his ban. The email listed his alleged offense, “Adult sexual exploitation.” The email also shows that his ban is “indefinite.” Gore says, “I don't know what to say anymore. I'm so used to being thrown around into scrutiny and being bullied and picked on…”

Gross Gore speculated that Twitch banned him because of a case of revenge porn against him. He goes on to explain that these allegations were false. “I didn't do anything, I didn't send Celestia's parents and revenge porn. I just sent her mother her Instagram account, in a USB. In 2016.” Twitch didn't specify the specific incident or offense that Gore did that led to the ban.

Gore then shared his plans, saying that he doesn't plan to stop streaming. He then revealed that he will continue live streaming on Youtube.

This isn't the first time that the live streamer got his account revoked from Twitch. In 2016, Twitch suspended his account after he accusations that he harassed a Riot employee surfaced. However, unlike that suspension, this recent ban may have been the final nail in the coffin for Gross Gore's Twitch account.
