With only two days to go before they start the new season, the Sacramento Kings have made their final cuts and named their 15-man lineup. The team waived guards Isaiah Cousins, Jordan Farmer and Lamar Patterson.

The moves meant that Ty Lawson has made their final roster and is now expected to start in the Kings' first eight games as their starter, Darren Collison, is serving his suspension.

Farmer will be available in the waiver wire for other NBA teams to pick up, but should he remain a free agent, the Kings' will keep a close eye on him as the team does not have much point guard depth at this point. Garrett Temple will most likely have minutes at the one spot throughout the season depending on matchups even though that is not his natural position. Another option for Farmar is to bring his talents overseas and secure a lucrative contract.

Patterson and Cousins both appear to be headed to the D-League to gain more experience and refine their games. The Reno Bighorns are the Kings' affiliate where the two will most likely see action for this coming season.

The Sacramento Kings open their 2016-2017 campaign on Wednesday when they travel to Arizona and face the Phoenix Suns.
