Novak Djokovic was clearly not a fan of Ben Shelton's phone celebration against Frances Tiafoe in the US Open quarters.

After Nole took down the young American in straight sets Friday in the semifinals, 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4), the 23-time Grand Slam winner mocked Shelton. Take a look:

Just ruthless from Djokovic. As you can see, there was a very brief handshake at the net. No words were exchanged between the two. That could be because the Serbian was frustrated with far too many unforced errors in the final set or simply because of Shelton's antics.

The 20-year-old made a phenomenal run at Flushing Meadows and showcased his impressive game highlighted by the biggest serve on the ATP Tour. But, he does come off a tad cocky at times. There is certainly a chance that rubbed Novak Djokovic the wrong way.

Regardless, Shelton has a bright future and Nole is into yet another major final. For what it's worth, Shelton explained his reasoning behind the phone celebration. Via Tennis.com:

“Our home phone, when I was growing up in Atlanta, was one like that. If I wanted to talk to my friends or call their home phone, see if they wanted to go outside and throw a football, that was what I did. For me it's kind of like I'm saying I'm dialed in,” he said Tuesday night.

“(It's) something that connects me to my friends back home.”

Djokovic awaits the winner of Carlos Alcaraz vs Daniil Medvedev Friday evening. The showpiece goes Sunday as the Joker looks for Grand Slam No. 24.
