The Bellator light heavyweight tournament is set to come to an end with Vadim Nemkov taking on Corey Anderson. The two MMA fighters could potentially be the best light heavyweights in the sport.
Vadim Nemkov looked at some of the names in the MMA tournament and was quite confident Corey Anderson would be in the final. Bellator had a very exciting tournament and two of the best ended up in the final.
“I’m very happy that this fight even happened,” Nemkov told MMA Junkie at a news conference Wednesday. “I’m very happy to be here. Fedor (Emelianenko) flies in today and the whole team will be stacked. I’m very thankful to Bellator. … When this grand prix started, I knew it would either be Corey Anderson or Ryan Bader when I expected to be in the final, which is now. I’m ready to get my win on Friday night.”
Many are expecting the fight to be very exciting and it's a fun matchup. Vadim Nemkov knows MMA can be tricky to figure out be he's looking forward to a fun fight at Bellator 277.
“I think it’ll be one of the best ones, but again, playing expectation games is just guesses,” Nemkov said. “The fight will tell, but I think I’ll be one of the best light heavyweights in the world after I secure the win.”
Bellator 277 goes down on Friday with the MMA tournament set to come to an end. Vadim Nemkov will be defending his light heavyweight title against Corey Anderson and hoping to keep his impressive streak going.
