The Philadelphia 76ers are winless no more. Behind Joel Embiid‘s career-high 25 points and seven rebounds, the Sixers clawed their way to a 109-105 overtime win over the struggling Indiana Pacers.
Embiid struggled from the field, but knocked down an impressive 12-of-14 from the free-throw line, securing a win for his team.

“The Process” showed his range as he has in nearly every game of his professional career, making it rain from deep with the greatest of ease.

The Sixers (1-7) could have largely benefitted from a pep talk from crowd-favorite four-time scoring champ Allen Iverson, who visited the practice facility earlier today to address the team. He was a guest during tonight's game as well, making it that much more of a priority to come up with the win.

Looks like The Answer will have to drop by more often to keep this team inspired.
Embiid had yet another career-high, as he played 26 minutes for the first time in the young season. When asked about the impact of Iverson's talk at the end of morning practice, the 7-footer was assertively thankful.
“The message was play hard, play like it's your last game,” Embiid said in his post-game interview. “I think that really helped us tonight.”
