The basketball version of Crash Davis has finally seen his lifelong dream of playing in the NBA come true. That’s 32-year-old Andre Ingram, who was recently called up by the Los Angles Lakers from the G League and signed to a contract for the team’s final two games of the 2017-18 season.

Against the Houston Rockets at Staples Center on Tuesday, Ingram made sure he had a bucket right in his very first game in Lakers threads when he drained a three-point shot off an assist from Travis Wear in the second quarter of the contest.

While the Lakers have disappointed their fans once again by not making the playoffs this season, they sure have warmed the hears of basketball fans with their kind gesture towards Andre Ingram. Ingram has played 10 seasons in the G League (formerly knowns as the D-League) before getting the chance of a lifetime to don the Purple and Gold colors.

A product of the American University, Ingram has played in 384 total games in the minors for three different teams. There, he averaged 10.2 points with a deadly 46.1 three-point shooting percentage. Moreover, he owns the G League record for most three-pointers in league history with 713 triples. Obviously, he has carried that nice stroke from deep into the big leagues.
