It had been a frustrating start to the 2019 NFL season for both Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston and wide receiver Mike Evans. Fortunately, they have finally managed to get on the same page early in Week 3 against the New York Giants.

Winston was able to find Evans for a 55-yard bomb during the second quarter, via NFL Twitter:

Their connection was further evidence of their early performance against the Giants. Evans has already managed to top 100 yards on the afternoon while hauling in three touchdowns.

It is undoubtedly encouraging to see the Pro Bowl wideout eclipse his season totals in just the first half against the Giants. Winston has undoubtedly struggled to find his footing and his performance has affected Evans' production.

Regardless, the Bucs are hoping that their stellar outing so far will be a positive sign of what is to come for this game and the rest of the year.
