Some Aston Villa fans performed Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “siii” celebration to mock the Manchester United striker.

Aston Villa ended Manchester United’s hot streak in the English Premier League and handed the club its first loss this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the club’s talisman, was not able to work his magic on the pitch and failed to score a single to his name, a rare occurrence live Aston Villa fans were thrilled about.

Moments after Manchester United’s defeat, a group of clamoring Aston Villa fans outside Old Trafford formed a circle and took turns in mimicking Ronaldo’s “siii” goal celebration.

Given that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner didn’t bag a goal against Aston Villa, it was evident that the group was savaging Ronaldo’s performance.

Manchester United had the chance to force a draw late in the game with a spot kick from Bruno Fernandes. However, the Portuguese midfielder terribly missed the penalty shot and had the ball scorching to the stands instead.

Many have questioned Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his decision to not let Ronaldo take the said spot kick.

To his defense, Solskjaer pointed out that everything, including who will take a penalty shot has already been decided prior to the game.

“The decision was made before the game,” Solskjaer replied to reporters when asked why he didn’t choose Ronaldo to take the penalty kick.

Manchester United is set to face Villarreal on Wednesday in matchday 2 of this year’s UEFA Champions League. The club will be hoping to prevent a fourth defeat in its last five matches in the tournament.
